...RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES SET AT BARROW AND KOTZEBUE SUNDAY...

HIGH TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET ON SUNDAY AT BARROW AND
KOTZEBUE. BARROW HAD A HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 36 DEGREES BREAKING THE
OLD RECORD OF 30 DEGREES SET IN 1928. KOTZEBUE HAD A HIGH OF 38
DEGREES BREAKING THE OLD RECORD OF 36 DEGREES SET IN 1968.

BARROW ALSO SET A DAILY SNOWFALL RECORD AND A LIQUID EQUIVALENT
PRECIPITATION RECORD ON SUNDAY. BARROW HAD 3.1 INCHES OF SNOW
O SUNDAY WITH A LIQUID EQUIVALENT OF 0.32 INCHES. THIS BREAKS THE
OLD RECORDS OF 1.6 INCHES AND 0.16 INCHES RESPECTIVELY, BOTH SET
IN 1924.
