...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS THIS WEEKEND THROUGH TUESDAY
BECAUSE OF LOW HUMIDITY, GUSTY OFFSHORE WINDS, AND HEAT...

.High pressure and areas of strong offshore winds will bring
areas of gusty northeast to east winds, especially below passes
and canyons, very low humidity, and hot weather this weekend
through Tuesday. Winds will begin in the San Bernardino County
Mountains, the Inland Empire and Santa Ana Mountains Saturday
morning, then increase in coverage toward the coast and spread
into San Diego County Sunday through Tuesday. Strongest winds
will be during the mornings Monday and Tuesday. Winds will
decrease and humidity will slowly rise Wednesday and beyond.

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM SATURDAY TO 6 PM
PDT TUESDAY FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY...

* WIND...Areas of northeast winds 15 to 25 MPH with gusts 35 to
  45 MPH, strongest Monday and Tuesday mornings.

* HUMIDITY...Daytime minimums around 10 percent Saturday and
  Sunday, then 5 to 10 percent Monday and Tuesday. Poor
  recovery each night, especially in windy areas.

* TIMING...Saturday morning through Tuesday.

* OUTLOOK...Winds should weaken Wednesday with some improvement
  in humidity.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. A combination of strong winds, low
relative humidity and hot weather can contribute to extreme fire
behavior. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag

THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND LOW
HUMIDITY...

* LOCATION...Orange County coast, San Diego County valleys,
  mountain slopes and foothills, and the Riverside County
  coastal mountain slopes.

* WIND...Areas of east to northeast winds 15 to 25 MPH with
  gusts 25 to 35 MPH.

* HUMIDITY...Daytime minimums around 10 percent Sunday, then 5
  to 10 percent Monday and Tuesday. Poor recovery each night,
  especially in the wind prone locations.

* TIMING...Sunday morning through Tuesday.

* OUTLOOK...Winds should weaken Wednesday with some improvement
  in humidity.
