DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
1135 AM EDT SAT APR 30 2016

...River forecast points were well below flood stage this morning...

A nearly stationary frontal boundary was draped from the upstate
northeast across the extreme northern Midlands of SC and offshore
this morning. South of the front...increasing low-level moisture
from a southeasterly airflow combined with a generally unstable
atmosphere will lead to scattered showers and possible thunderstorms.
Best timing will be later this evening and overnight when upper-level
energy is projected to cross the forecast area.

This generally unsettled pattern is expected to persist through the
daytime Monday. Rainfall could be widely varying between locations...
but widespread higher amounts are unlikely through the period.

Therefore...area river stages are not expected to experience any
significant rises through Monday...with no flooding issues. Minor
fluctuations will be dictated by power generating activity and
associated water releases from upstream reservoirs.
