THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A RIVER STATEMENT FOR
STREAMS IN THE SUSITNA RIVER BASIN.

OVER AN INCH OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN THE SUSITNA VALLEY OVER THE
PAST 24 HOURS. THIS RAINFALL COMBINED WITH RISING FREEZING LEVELS
HAS CAUSED MANY OF THE SMALL AND MID-SIZED STREAMS TO QUICKLY
RISE. WATER IS OVER THE ROAD AT MOOSE CREEK NEAR THE TOWN OF
TRAPPER CREEK AND THERE MAY BE MORE LOCATIONS OF LOCALIZED
FLOODING AT SMALL STREAMS IN THE SUSITNA BASIN.

SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL WILL BE TAPERING OFF THROUGHOUT THE DAY
TODAY BUT MORE HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED TO MOVE BACK IN THURSDAY
AND THURSDAY NIGHT. THEREFORE...WATER LEVELS WILL LIKELY RISE
AGAIN LATER IN THE WEEK.

THIS STATEMENT WILL NOT BE UPDATED.
