WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

SKIES WERE MOSTLY SUNNY ACROSS MUCH OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND
NORTHWEST INDIANA AT MID MORNING. AFTER MORNING LOW TEMPERATURES
IN THE MID 50S TO LOW 60S...TEMPERATURES HAVE REBOUNDED INTO THE
LOW 70S.

HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE EASTERN GREAT LAKES WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE
OFF TO THE EAST. A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE OVER THE HIGH PLAINS
WILL MOVE EAST TODAY...BRINGING AN INCREASE IN CLOUDS AS WELL AS A
CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS BEGINNING LATE TONIGHT. HIGHS
THIS AFTERNOON WILL REACH INTO THE UPPER 70S TO LOW 80S. SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE WEEKEND AS THE WEATHER
PATTERN BECOMES UNSETTLED. SOME OF THE STORMS ON SATURDAY COULD
BE STRONG TO SEVERE WITH HEAVY DOWNPOURS...GUSTY WINDS AND HAIL.
HIGHS ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WILL BE IN THE LOW TO MID 80S.

COOL WEATHER WILL BE THE RULE THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK AS A
STRONG COLD FRONT MOVES ACROSS THE AREA. HIGHS NEXT WEEK WILL
GENERALLY BE IN THE LOW TO MID 70S.
