WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

CLOUDY AND RAINY CONDITIONS WERE THE RULE ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS
AND NORTHWEST INDIANA EARLY THIS EVENING. TEMPERATURES MADE IT
INTO THE UPPER 30S TO LOW 40S WITH SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS AT 10 TO 15
MPH.

LOW PRESSURE TRACKING THROUGH THE MIDWEST WILL CONTINUE TO BRING
RAIN TONIGHT AND INTERMITTENTLY ON TUESDAY TO OUR AREA. SOUTHERLY
WINDS AHEAD OF THIS SYSTEM WILL KEEP TEMPERATURES MILD ACROSS THE
AREA...AND HIGHS WILL BE IN THE MID 40S TO NEAR 50. A SECOND
STORM SYSTEM COULD IMPACT THE REGION ON CHRISTMAS EVE
DAY. PRECIPITATION WILL START OUT IN THE FORM OF RAIN...BUT THEN
MAY MIX WITH AND CHANGE TO SNOW DURING THE DAY AND INTO THE
EVENING HOURS ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE AREA. THERE IS STILL
UNCERTAINTY WITH THE EXACT TRACK THE STORM WILL TAKE...AN THUS
WHICH AREAS WILL SEE ACCUMULATING SNOW. KEEP CHECKING LATER
FORECASTS ON THE POTENTIAL FOR ACCUMULATING SNOW OVER PARTS OF THE
MIDWEST.
