High Elevation Glacier Park Forecast
National Weather Service Missoula MT
409 AM MDT Wed May 22 2013

.SYNOPSIS...Moisture continues to stream north and west across the
region this morning. While these current bands of rainfall are
somewhat spotty, precipitation will fill in and encompass most of
the Park throughout the day. Snow levels will remain elevated
above 6000 feet for much of the day, and by nightfall, begin their
descent down to around 3000 to 4000 feet. In doing so,
precipitation will changeover to snowfall, and total 6 to 8 inches
(most above 8000 feet) by Thursday morning. Snow levels will waver
for some time through Thursday before rising once more and
remaining elevated through the weekend. Additional snow
accumulations in the higher elevations are possible through this
time. All things considered, the period for heaviest snowfall will
occur in the next 12 to 24 hours for GNP.
