THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
  NORTHEAST KANSAS
  NORTHWEST MISSOURI

* EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING FROM 1100
  PM UNTIL 400 AM CDT.

* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
  SCATTERED LARGE HAIL AND ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2
    INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
  ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE
  A TORNADO OR TWO POSSIBLE

SUMMARY...THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN COVERAGE OVER MUCH
OF WATCH AREA THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY...WHILE EXISTING LONG-LIVED
SUPERCELL NOW SOUTH OF TOPEKA CONTINUES ESE AND GRADUALLY WEAKENS.
DESPITE NOCTURNAL COOLING...STRENGTH OF BUOYANCY AND MOISTURE INFLOW
SUGGEST POTENTIAL FOR SCATTERED STORMS / POSSIBLE SUPERCELLS WITH
LARGE HAIL...LOCALLY DAMAGING WIND...AND POSSIBLY A BRIEF TORNADO.
WITHIN THIS NEW SEVERE WEATHER WATCH...PART OF EXISTING TORNADO
WATCH 210 IN EAST-CENTRAL KS HAS BEEN EXTENDED IN TIME 2 HOURS TO
COVER LINGERING TORNADO THREAT WITH THE LONG-LIVED SUPERCELL.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 95
STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 35 MILES NORTH OF
FALLS CITY NEBRASKA TO 50 MILES SOUTH OF OLATHE KANSAS.  FOR A
