BASED ON DATA THROUGH 1130 UTC DECEMBER 04 2016

EXCEPT FOR LANAI WHERE CEILINGS HAVE BEEN OCCASIONALLY BELOW 1000
FEET...LOW CLOUDINESS IS ALMOST NON-EXISTENT OVER THE ISLES AND
ADJACENT WATERS THIS EARLY MORNING.  HIGH CLOUDS...THOUGH...MOVING
FROM THE SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST...HAVE BECOME BROKEN OVER MOST OF THE
ALOHA STATE AS OF BULLETIN TIME.  LOW LEVEL WINDS...BASED ON RADAR
WIND PROFILES...ARE MAINLY FROM THE SOUTHWEST TO WEST BELOW 15 MPH.

THE NORTH-TO-SOUTH ORIENTED AXIS OF AN UPPER TROUGH IS ABOUT 180
MILES WEST OF KAUAI AS OF THIS WRITING...ACCORDING TO THE MOST
RECENT WATER VAPOR IMAGES...AND HAS BEEN HEADING EAST SLOWLY OVER
THE PAST SEVEN HOURS.  THE AXIS IS CURRENTLY ALONG A LINE FROM
30N162.5W TO 20N163.5W TO 17N165W.  ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BEEN
IGNITING ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE TROUGH FROM TIME TO TIME.  AN AREA
OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAS BEEN EVIDENT ON IMAGERY...AS
WELL...NORTH OF THE ISLANDS...CURRENTLY FROM 23N TO 27N BETWEEN
153.5W TO 157.5W.

ALSO...CONVECTION IS FIRING SOUTH OF HAWAII.  MOST OF IT IS LOCATED
ANYWHERE FROM 08.5N TO 15N EAST OF 165W.  MORE ACTIVITY IS FOUND
FROM 03.5N TO 05.5N WEST OF 170W.
