...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHERN ROOSEVELT AND
NORTHEASTERN CHAVES COUNTIES UNTIL 1015 PM MDT...

At 932 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Elida to near Bottomless Lakes State Park.
Movement was southeast at 20 mph.

Half inch hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Heavy rain and frequent and dangerous cloud to ground lightning will
also be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Elida, Dora, Causey, Milnesand, Kenna, Pep and Bottomless Lakes State
Park.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent dangerous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these
storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek
a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

southeastern and east central New Mexico.
