...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT EAST CENTRAL FAIRFIELD AND
NORTHWESTERN KERSHAW COUNTIES...

At 826 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 12 miles northwest
of Lugoff, or 13 miles northwest of Camden. the storm is nearly
stationary.

Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph are possible with this storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central
Fairfield and northwestern Kershaw Counties, near the southern
portion of Lake Wateree.

If you are on or near Lake Wateree, get out of the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
