AT 208 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
STRONG THUNDERSTORM 11 MILES WEST OF MOUNT OLIVE...MOVING EAST AT 25
MPH.

WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM. ALSO...
RAINFALL AROUND AN INCH IN 30 TO 45 MINUTES WILL RESULT IN PONDING
OF WATER ON ROADS.

GOLDSBORO...MOUNT OLIVE...WALNUT CREEK...SEVEN SPRINGS...ELROY...
CLIFFS OF THE NEUSE STATE PARK...BROGDEN...GRANTHAM...HOBBTON AND

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

SEEK SHELTER IN A NEARBY BUILDING OR VEHICLE. WIND GUSTS AS HIGH AS
40 MPH ARE CAPABLE OF BLOWING AROUND LIGHTWEIGHT ITEMS LEFT
OUTDOORS. REMAIN INDOORS WHEN STORMS ARE NEARBY OR OVERHEAD TO HELP
AVOID THE DANGER OF LIGHTNING. LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN WILL QUICKLY
REDUCE VISIBILITY AND RESULT IN PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS.
