...Areas of Dense Fog Will Slowly Lift this Morning...

Areas of dense fog with visibilities less than mile, and locally
less than a half mile, across the Sandhills and the Coastal Plain
will improve between 9 and 11am. The fog will lift into a low
overcast and then erode during the course of the morning. The
clouds will be stubborn to burn off in a few spots but should
give way to intervals of sunshine before the solar eclipse this
afternoon.

Be on the lookout for sudden changes in visibility. Visibility
can drop quickly over short distances, especially near rivers,
lakes and other low-lying areas.
