...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN BOYD...SOUTHWESTERN
GREENUP...NORTHWESTERN LAWRENCE AND CARTER COUNTIES...

At 414 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Carter Caves
State Park, moving southeast at 30 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm, along with
torrential rainfall and frequent lightning.

Locations impacted include...
Grayson, Olive Hill, Grayson Lake State Park, Carter Caves State
Park, Cannonsburg, Webbville, Princess, Coalton, Denton, Gesling,
Oldtown, Rush, Carter, Grahn, Hopewell, Willard, Hitchins, Soldier,
Globe and Mavity.

This includes Interstate 64 in Kentucky between mile markers 149 and
187.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
