...The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg SC
has issued a Flood Advisory for the Tuckasegee River...


  Tuckasegee River at Bryson City affecting Swain County


Heavy rain moving across the area has saturated the ground and caused
river levels to rise. Additional rainfall will likely cause the river
to crest just below flood stage.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory for a river forecast point means that nuisance
flooding is expected to occur along the river when the river level is
forecast to be just below or at the official flood stage.

Caution is urged when walking near river banks...keep children away
from drainage areas and culverts.

The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a
* Flood Advisory for
  the Tuckasegee River at Bryson City.
* Until tomorrow morning.
* At 12 PM Wednesday the stage was 8.5 feet.
* Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast...the river will continue to rise to near flood stage.
 At 9.0 feet...River will overflow it`s banks and will begin to move
into the bear hunter campground near bryson city..
