TONIGHT. THE MAIN THREATS WILL BE HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND CLOUD TO
GROUND LIGHTNING. A FEW AREAS COULD EXPERIENCE LOCALLY EXCESSIVE
RAINFALL.

THIS MORNING IS EXPECTED TO REACH THE SOUTHERN APPALACHIAN REGION BY
THIS EVENING. CLUSTERS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST
TO DEVELOP AHEAD OF SYSTEM...TRACKING ACROSS NORTHEAST GEORGIA AND
THE UPSTATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE
ENVIRONMENT MAY SUPPORT A FEW STORMS PRODUCING DAMAGING WIND
GUSTS AND HAIL...ESPECIALLY ALONG AND EAST OF THE INTERSTATE 85 CORRIDOR.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS MAY RANGE FROM 1 TO 2 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS POSSIBLE THROUGH TONIGHT. WATER LEVELS ALONG SMALL CREEKS
AND STREAMS MAY RISE RAPIDLY...POSSIBLY RESULTING IN LOCALIZED FLOODING
