WINDS...SMALL HAIL...AND CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING. THE
THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD MOVE EAST OF THE MOUNTAINS BY SUNSET.

WESTERN PIEDMONT OF NORTH CAROLINA...AND UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP AGAIN TODAY ACROSS THE
FOOTHILLS AND PIEDMONT OF THE CAROLINAS AND NORTHEAST GEORGIA.
SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BECOME SEVERE AND WILL PRODUCE
LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WIND GUSTS...AND FREQUENT CLOUD-TO-GROUND
LIGHTNING. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL COULD PRODUCE SOME FLOODING OF
LOW LYING AREAS...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE AREA FROM YORK COUNTY TO
THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE CHARLOTTE METRO AREA...WHERE THE GROUND
REMAINS NEARLY SATURATED FROM RECENT RAINFALL. THE THUNDERSTORM
THREAT WILL END THIS EVENING AS A COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH.
