..MONDAY...HIGH WINDS POSSIBLE. LOW LEVEL SOUTH-SOUTHEAST WINDS
WILL STRENGTHEN AHEAD OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT LATE MONDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. ELEVATIONS ABOVE 3500 FEET COULD BECOME
EXPOSED TO THE STRONGER WINDS, RESULTING IN WIND GUSTS OF 50-55
MPH. HIGH ELEVATION AREAS MAY SEE DOWNED TREES OR SNAPPED
POWERLINES.
..TUESDAY...HEAVY RAIN LIKELY. A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL ENTER THE
REGION EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. A ROUND OF HEAVY SHOWERS IS
EXPECTED AS A RESULT. THE EAST FACING SLOPES OF THE MOUNTAINS MAY
SEE RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF TWO INCHES BY THE END OF THE
DAY. ADDITIONALLY...STRONG SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH COULD
OCCUR ON THE HIGHER RIDGES AND PEAKS BEFORE DAWN...CAUSING SOME
TREE AND POWERLINE DAMAGE.
