This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Georgia and western
North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop across
the mountains this afternoon and evening. While the main threats will
be from torrential rainfall and cloud to ground lightning, a few of
the storms could become briefly severe, capable of producing
damaging wind gusts.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Georgia, piedmont
North Carolina, western North Carolina and upstate South Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Temperatures in the lower to mid 90s will combine with moderate to
high levels of humidity to produce heat index values of around 100
across much of the Piedmont and foothills this afternoon. In
addition, scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected to
develop across the area this afternoon and evening. While the main
threats will be from torrential rainfall and cloud to ground
lightning, a few of the storms could become briefly severe, capable
of producing damaging wind gusts.
