.GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL BE FELT ACROSS THE SOUTHERN
APPALACHIANS AS A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES OFF THE ATLANTIC
COAST. WINDY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE INTO MONDAY MORNING BEFORE
THE WINDS GRADUALLY ABATE.

* LOCATIONS...THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS OF WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA...
  MAINLY ABOVE 3500 FEET.

* HAZARDS...WINDY CONDITIONS PRODUCING ISOLATED TREE DAMAGE AND
  ADVERSE DRIVING CONDITIONS.

* TIMING...WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO GUST IN EXCESS OF 45 MPH AT
  TIMES ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS TONIGHT. THE WINDS WILL THEN
  DIMINISH SLOWLY THROUGH LATE MONDAY MORNING.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.

* IMPACTS...THESE WIND GUSTS WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE
  ISOLATED TREE AND LIMB DAMAGE...POSSIBLY LEADING TO ISOLATED
  POWER OUTAGES. DRIVING MAY BECOME DIFFICULT FOR HIGH PROFILE
  VEHICLES...PARTICULARLY NEAR MOUNTAIN PASSES.
