MORNING...

.GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE SOUTHERN
APPALACHIANS THIS AFTERNOON AS A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVES OFF
THE ATLANTIC COASTLINE. VERY WINDY CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE INTO
MONDAY MORNING BEFORE THE WINDS GRADUALLY ABATE.

* LOCATIONS...THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS OF WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA.

* HAZARDS...VERY WINDY CONDITIONS PRODUCING ISOLATED TREE DAMAGE
  AND SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES.

* TIMING...WINDS WILL INCREASE THROUGH THE DAY TODAY. THE
  STRONGEST WIND GUSTS WILL LIKELY OCCUR THIS EVENING. THE WINDS
  WILL THEN DIMINISH VERY SLOWLY THROUGH LATE MONDAY MORNING.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.

* IMPACTS...THESE WIND GUSTS WILL HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE
  ISOLATED TREE AND LIMB DAMAGE...POSSIBLY LEADING TO SCATTERED
  POWER OUTAGES. DRIVING MAY BECOME DIFFICULT FOR HIGH PROFILE
  VEHICLES...ESPECIALLY NEAR MOUNTAIN PASSES.
