Numerous showers will cross the Western Carolinas and
Northeast Georgia late today and early tonight.  Some showers
will be heavy at times just prior to the cold frontal passage.
Rainfall amounts will total from a half to three quarters of
an inch in the mountains and adjacent foothills.  Rainfall
over the Piedmont will be around a quarter of an inch.
This will not have much affect on area river levels as only
small increases will occur.

Major rivers are expected to remain nearly steady or rise only slightly.
