...MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WITH GUSTY WINDS TO CONTINUE ACROSS
EXTREME NORTHEAST GEORGIA THROUGH LATE MORNING...

AT 915 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A BROAD AREA OF MODERATE TO
HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS NORTHEAST GEORGIA THIS MORNING WITH EMBEDDED
THUNDERSTORMS MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH. SOME OF THE HEAVIER SHOWERS ARE
CHANNELING TO THE GROUND STRONGER WINDS ALOFT...WITH LOCALIZED GUSTS
OF 30 TO 40 MPH POSSIBLE AT TIMES.

IN ADDITION...RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE HALF TO ONE INCH HAVE AFFECTED
NORTHEAST GEORGIA OVER THE PAST 6 HOURS...AND ADDITIONAL RAINFALL
RATES OF ONE HALF INCH PER HOUR ARE LIKELY THROUGH LATE MORNING.
ISOLATED FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS MAY RESULT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

HEAVY RAINFALL MAY FLOOD AREAS WITH POOR DRAINAGE...SUCH AS DITCHES
AND UNDERPASSES. WATER LEVELS OF SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS MAY ALSO
RISE RAPIDLY. AVOID THESE AREAS AND DO NOT CROSS FLOODED ROADS.
