IREDELL...EASTERN ALEXANDER AND NORTHWESTERN DAVIE COUNTIES UNTIL

AT 1103 AM EST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THE LEADING EDGE OF A LINE
OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 11 MILES
SOUTHEAST OF WILKESBORO TO 11 MILES NORTHWEST OF STATESVILLE TO 8
MILES SOUTH OF TAYLORSVILLE...AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH.

WIND GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH AND VERY HEAVY RAINFALL RATES UP TO 2 INCHES
PER HOUR WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
STONY POINT...HARMONY...LOVE VALLEY...UNION GROVE...TURNERSBURG...
OLIN...SCOTTS...SHEFFIELD AND FARMINGTON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THE COMBINATION OF GUSTY WINDS AND SATURATED SOIL CONDITIONS WILL
CAUSE SCATTERED TREES AND POWER LINES TO FALL. SEEK SHELTER INSIDE AN
INTERIOR ROOM.

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL MAY FLOOD AREAS WITH POOR DRAINAGE...SUCH AS
DITCHES AND UNDERPASSES. AVOID THESE AREAS AND DO NOT CROSS FLOODED
ROADS. WATER LEVELS OF SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS MAY ALSO RISE
RAPIDLY. SEEK HIGHER GROUND IF THREATENED BY FLOOD WATERS.
