...SOME PATCHY LIGHT ICING NORTH OF INTERSTATE 40 EARLY THIS
MORNING...

AN AREA OF RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST ACROSS THE FOOTHILLS
AND NORTHWEST PIEDMONT OF NORTH CAROLINA THROUGH THE EARLY
MORNING HOURS. TEMPERATURES WERE HOLDING RIGHT AT 32 DEGREES IN
SOME LOCATIONS...RESULTING IN A FEW REPORTS OF LIGHT ICING ON
ELEVATED SURFACES. SOME LOCATIONS COULD SEE A LIGHT ACCUMULATION
IN TREETOPS AND OTHER RAISED SURFACES. ALTHOUGH SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL
PROBLEMS ARE NOT ANTICIPATED...THERE COULD BE SOME BRIDGES AND
OVERPASSES THAT BECOME SLIPPERY IF UNTREATED. TEMPERATURES ARE
EXPECTED TO RISE ABOVE 32 DEGREES BY 4 AM.
