SOUTHEASTERN MACON...HABERSHAM...RABUN AND NORTHERN STEPHENS
COUNTIES THROUGH 1215 AM EDT...

AT 1113 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
MULTIPLE CLUSTERS OF THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING TORRENTIAL RAIN. THE
STORMS WERE ROUGHLY WEST OF A LINE FROM NORTH OF LAKE HARTWELL...
TO MOUNTAIN WEST...AND THEN AROUND THE HIGHLANDS.

THE STORMS WERE MOVING WEST AROUND 10 MPH...ALTHOUGH MERGERS AND
ERRATIC MOVEMENT WAS NOTED WITH SOME STORMS.

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED WITH THIS THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IN
THE AFOREMENTIONED AREAS UNTIL AFTER MIDNIGHT...WITH RAINFALL OF 1
TO 2 INCHES...AND LOCAL AMOUNTS OF 3 INCHES...LIKELY WITH THE
HEAVIEST DOWNPOURS.

HEAVY RAINS MAY FLOOD AREAS WITH POOR DRAINAGE...SUCH AS DITCHES AND
UNDERPASSES. AVOID THESE AREAS AND DO NOT CROSS FLOODED ROADS. WATER
LEVELS OF SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS MAY ALSO RISE RAPIDLY. SEEK HIGHER
GROUND IF THREATENED BY FLOOD WATERS.
