...PATCHY DENSE FOG ACROSS THE NORTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA PIEDMONT...

COOLING TEMPERATURES HAVE ALLOWED PATCHY FOG TO DEVELOP ACROSS
MAINLY THE INTERSTATE 40 CORRIDOR FROM MORGANTON TO SALISBURY. A FEW
SPOTS ARE OCCASIONALLY REPORTING VISIBILITY VALUES BELOW ONE HALF MILE.
LOW LYING AREAS SUCH AS RIVER BOTTOMS ARE MOST LIKELY TO SEE
DENSE FOG. THE PATCHY FOG MAY LINGER UNTIL AFTER SUNRISE.

DRIVERS ON AREA ROADWAYS SHOULD EXERCISE EXTRA CAUTION...AND BE
PREPARED FOR RAPIDLY CHANGING VISIBILITY CONDITIONS. SLOW
DOWN...USE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS...AND LEAVE EXTRA SPACE BETWEEN
VEHICLES.
