...A LINE OF HEAVY RAIN WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN RUTHERFORD...
CLEVELAND...NORTHWESTERN CHESTER...WESTERN YORK...CHEROKEE AND UNION
COUNTIES UNTIL 430 PM EST...

At 340 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated the leading edge of an area of
heavy rain along a line extending from near Forest City to 11 miles
east of Spartanburg to 14 miles northwest of Newberry, and moving
northeast at 45 mph.

Locations to be impacted include...
Shelby, Gaffney, Union, Forest City, Kings Mountain, Boiling Springs
NC, Monarch Mill, Blacksburg, Buffalo and Belwood.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and very heavy rainfall rates up to 2 inches
per hour will be possible in these areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall may flood areas with poor drainage, such as
ditches and underpasses. Avoid these areas and do not cross flooded
roads. Water levels of small streams may also rise rapidly. Seek
higher ground if threatened by flood waters.
