LAURENS...SPARTANBURG...SOUTHEASTERN GREENVILLE AND WESTERN CHEROKEE
COUNTIES UNTIL 1100 AM EST...

AT 1013 AM EST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THE LEADING EDGE OF A LINE
OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 8 MILES WEST OF
SPARTANBURG TO 14 MILES WEST OF LAURENS...AND MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.

WIND GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH AND VERY HEAVY RAINFALL RATES UP TO 2 INCHES
PER HOUR WILL BE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS. THE STRONG WINDS MAY
KNOCK DOWN SOME LARGE TREE LIMBS.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
SPARTANBURG...GAFFNEY...LAURENS...SIMPSONVILLE...FIVE FORKS...
FOUNTAIN INN...BOILING SPRINGS SC...WOODRUFF...DUNCAN AND LYMAN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TORRENTIAL RAINFALL MAY FLOOD AREAS WITH POOR DRAINAGE...SUCH AS
DITCHES AND UNDERPASSES. AVOID THESE AREAS AND DO NOT CROSS FLOODED
ROADS. WATER LEVELS OF SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS MAY ALSO RISE
RAPIDLY. SEEK HIGHER GROUND IF THREATENED BY FLOOD WATERS.
