...Winter Storm Slamming the Region...

Snow, heavy at times, will continue through the afternoon from
northeast Georgia, the mountains of western South Carolina, and
much of western North Carolina from the foothills west into the
higher terrain. 4 to 7 inches of snow has already fallen from
parts of northeast Georgia up through the mountains and foothills
of western North Carolina. The weight of the heavy snow may bring
down some trees and power lines. Additional accumulating snow is
likely.

Meanwhile over the upstate of South Carolina and areas around
Charlotte and points south, expect snow and rain changing to all
snow. Accumulations should commence, especially on grassy areas.

All interests should use extra caution driving. Please leave extra
distance between you and other vehicle.
