* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  North central Catawba County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
  Alexander County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...
  West central Iredell County in the Piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 615 PM EDT

* At 523 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Taylorsville,
  moving south at 10 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
           damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Taylorsville, St. Stephens, Bethlehem, Stony Point, Lookout Shoals
  Lake, Hiddenite, Little River In Alexander County, Millersville,
  Ellendale and Oxford.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Scattered trees and power lines will be blown down in the warned
area. Seek shelter inside an interior room.
