CAROLINA MOUNTAINS THROUGH AT LEAST TONIGHT...

.COLD AND MOIST NORTHWEST WINDS WILL RESULT IN NUMEROUS SNOW
SHOWERS THROUGH AT LEAST TONIGHT ACROSS THE NORTH CAROLINA AND
GEORGIA MOUNTAINS. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL OF THE EVENT HAS ALREADY
OCCURRED...SO THE WINTER STORM WARNING IS BEING ALLOWED TO EXPIRE.
HOWEVER...LIGHT SNOW AND TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES IN THE MOUNTAINS

  AGAIN TONIGHT...CAUSING SLIPPERY CONDITIONS. IN ADDITION...
  NORTHWEST WINDS COMBINED WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE SINGLE
  DIGITS WILL RESULT IN WIND CHILL VALUES OF 5 TO 15 DEGREES
  BELOW ZERO IN ELEVATIONS ABOVE 3500 FEET TONIGHT.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TONIGHT...WITH SLOW BUT
  STEADY ACCUMULATION. HOWEVER...DEEP MOISTURE AND STRENGTHENING
  NORTHWEST WINDS WILL STILL PRODUCE AT LEAST LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS
  AT TIMES WEDNESDAY. A NEW WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY COULD BE
  NECESSARY.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF GENERALLY AROUND AN
  INCH... PERHAPS AS MUCH AS 2 INCHES ON SOME WESTERN FACING
  RIDGES.

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND SNOW PACKED ROADS WILL MAKE TRAVEL
  HAZARDOUS...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE HIGH ELEVATIONS NEAR THE
  TENNESSEE BORDER. SNOW ACCUMULATION AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS
  COULD RESULT IN A FEW DOWNED TREES. WIND CHILL VALUES OF LESS
  THAN 5 DEGREES BELOW ZERO WILL MAKE IT DANGEROUS TO BE OUTSIDE
  ACROSS THE HIGH ELEVATIONS TUESDAY NIGHT.
