COLD AND MOIST NORTHWEST WINDS CONTINUE TO FLOW INTO THE WESTERN
NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS. SOME ROADS WILL REMAIN SLIPPERY IN
SPOTS...PARTICULARLY AT HIGH ELEVATIONS. GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS
AND TEMPERATURES IN THE TEENS TO SINGLE DIGITS WILL YIELD BITTERLY
COLD WIND CHILL VALUES AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS THURSDAY MORNING.

* HAZARDS...PERIODS OF SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW. IN ADDITION...
  NORTHWEST WINDS COMBINED WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE SINGLE
  DIGITS WILL RESULT IN WIND CHILL VALUES OF 5 TO 15 DEGREES
  BELOW ZERO FOR ELEVATIONS ABOVE 3500 FEET THURSDAY MORNING.

* TIMING...SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE TO TAPER OFF THIS
  EVENING...WITH SLIGHT ACCUMULATION. BITTER COLD WIND CHILLS ARE
  EXPECTED EARLY IN THE MORNING.

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND SNOW PACKED ROADS WILL MAKE TRAVEL
  HAZARDOUS...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE HIGH ELEVATIONS NEAR THE
