.COVERAGE OF LIGHT RAIN AND DRIZZLE IS EXPECTED TO SLOWLY INCREASE
ACROSS THE NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS THIS MORNING. MEANWHILE...
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO FALL SLOWLY TO AROUND FREEZING ALONG
THE BLUE RIDGE NORTH OF I-40 LATER THIS MORNING. THIS WILL RESULT
IN ANY PRECIP CHANGING TO LIGHT FREEZING RAIN OR FREEZING DRIZZLE.
LIGHT ICE ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE.

* LOCATIONS...THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS OF NORTH CAROLINA AND THE
  ADJACENT BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAIN ZONES NORTH OF INTERSTATE 40.

* HAZARDS...A LIGHT ACCUMULATION OF ICE...MAINLY ON TREE LIMBS
  AND ELEVATED SURFACES.

* TIMING...OCCASIONAL RAIN OR DRIZZLE IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE TO
  FREEZING RAIN AROUND SUNRISE...THEN CHANGE BACK TO RAIN BY EARLY
  AFTERNOON.

* ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO A FEW HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH OF ICE.

* IMPACTS...LIGHT ICE ACCUMULATION ON TREE LIMBS...POWER LINES...
  AND ELEVATED SURFACES. UNTREATED BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES COULD
  BECOME SLIPPERY.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER TO MID 30S.

A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF FREEZING RAIN OR
