ACROSS THE NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS NEAR THE TENNESSEE BORDER...

.SNOW SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FROM THE WEST TONIGHT AND
INTENSIFY DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS ACROSS THE NORTH CAROLINA
MOUNTAINS. SNOWFALL WILL THEN STEADILY PARE BACK TOWARD THE
TENNESSEE BORDER THROUGH LATE THURSDAY MORNING. THE COMBINATION OF
LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AND TEMPERATURES FALLING BELOW FREEZING
WILL LIKELY CREATE SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS THROUGH AT LEAST NOON.

  CAROLINA...AS WELL AS NORTHERN JACKSON COUNTY.

* HAZARDS...LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY
  MORNING ALONG WITH SUBFREEZING TEMPERATURES.

* TIMING...SNOW SHOWERS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FROM THE WEST
  TONIGHT AND INTENSIFY DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. THE SNOW
  SHOWERS WILL GRADUALLY PARE BACK TOWARD THE TENNESSEE BORDER
  THROUGH LATE THURSDAY MORNING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES...WITH THE
  HIGHEST AMOUNTS ALONG THE RIDGE TOPS AND NEAR THE IMMEDIATE
  TENNESSEE BORDER.

* IMPACTS...THE SNOWFALL WILL LIKELY ACCUMULATE ON ROADS
  OVERNIGHT. AS TEMPERATURES FALL WELL BELOW FREEZING...HAZARDOUS
  DRIVING CONDITIONS WILL RESULT.

* TEMPERATURES...MAINLY IN THE UPPER 20S THURSDAY MORNING.
