The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Okaloosa County in northwestern Florida...
  Southeastern Santa Rosa County in northwestern Florida...

* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 235 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Wright, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, Destin, Eglin AFB,
  Valparaiso, Mary Esther, Ocean City, Lake Lorraine, Navarre,
  Shalimar, Cinco Bayou, Navarre Beach, Longwood, Wynnehaven Beach,
  Eglin Village, Harper, Postil, Holley and Broxson.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Dead River, East Bay River, Turkey Creek, Lightwood Knot Creek,
  Turtle Creek, Anderson Branch, Live Oak Creek, Ninemile Creek,
  Alligator Creek, Pensacola Bay, Long Creek, Swift Creek, Trawick
  Creek, Fox Head Branch, Dean Creek, Panther Creek, Tom King Bayou,
  Toms Creek, Boiling Creek, Prairie Creek, Choctawhatchee Bay, West
  Branch Lightwood Knot Creek, Little Boiling Creek, Rocky Creek,
  Point Lookout Creek, Yellow River, Malone Creek, Bens Creek,
  Indigo Creek and Hicks Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
