Fire Weather Planning Forecast
for Northeast South Carolina and Southeast North Carolina
National Weather Service Wilmington NC
847 AM EDT Mon May 6 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will occur today into Tue,
peaking each afternoon and early evening. This due to the
combination of several upper level disturbances, diurnal heating
and the daily sea breeze. Dry high pressure will build overhead
late Tue with well above normal temperatures Tue through Thu. A
strong cold front will bring showers and thunderstorm late Thu
into Fri followed by high pressure and cooler temps next weekend.

Wind profile analysis/fire control over flat terrain is Favorable.

Fog potential for tonight is Moderate.
