GREENE...LENOIR...NORTHWESTERN CRAVEN...SOUTH CENTRAL PITT...
NORTHWESTERN ONSLOW AND NORTHEASTERN DUPLIN COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM
EDT...

At 739 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Hinson to near Walnut Creek. Movement was
southeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Greenville, Kinston, Winterville, Ayden, La Grange, Grifton, Phillips
Crossroads, Kornegay, Deep Run, Fort Barnwell, Jasper, Dawson,
Potters Hill, Graingers, Institute, Jason, Maury, Ormondsville,
Pleasant Hill, and Roundtree.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
eastern North Carolina.
