...ADDITIONAL RAINFALL EXPECTED THROUGH FRIDAY MAY INCREASE RISK OF
RIVER FLOODING...

A SLOW MOVING FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL FOCUS SHOWERS AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS TONIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY. THIS SYSTEM WILL BE FOLLOWED
CLOSE BEHIND BY A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING NORTHWARD FROM THE
WESTERN GULF OF MEXICO THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY WHICH WILL PRODUCE
ADDITIONAL PERIODS OF SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS.

WESTERN AND CENTRAL PORTIONS OF THE TENNESSEE VALLEY HAVE RECEIVED
ONE HALF INCH TO AROUND ONE INCH OF RAINFALL SINCE MONDAY.
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF ONE HALF TO ONE INCH IS EXPECTED THROUGH
EARLY WEDNESDAY...FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER ONE TO TWO INCHES FROM THURSDAY
INTO FRIDAY.

NORTHERN ALABAMA AND SOUTHERN MIDDLE TENNESSEE HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL
ROUNDS OF RAIN AND SNOW DURING THE PAST FEW WEEKS...WHICH HAS LED TO
INCREASED SOIL MOISTURE AND SATURATED SOILS. THIS CONDITION WILL
INCREASE RUNOFF POTENTIAL INTO AREA RIVERS AND CREEKS...AND COULD
LEAD TO MINOR OR MODERATE RIVER FLOODING LATE THIS WEEK INTO THE
WEEKEND.
