Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama

.DISCUSSION...

A strong cold front will move through the region late tonight
shifting the winds to the north and dropping temperatures into the
20s. Behind the front, a band of snow will move east-southeast
across the forecast area. Snow could start falling in portions of
Northwest Alabama as early as 3-6am and move out of the
southeastern portions around 6-9pm, leaving behind an inch or less
of snow. Dry, cold air will remain in place through the forecast
period, with temperatures not rising above freezing until mid-
day Thursday.
