.DISCUSSION...

Skies will become clear overnight as high pressure moves east
across the area. Patchy fog may develop as a result of lingering
moisture, however winds may be elevated enough to keep most of the
fog at bay. If fog were to develop, it will quickly dissipate by
sunrise. Winds will shift to the south and become gusty at times
on Friday as a warm front lifts northward. This front will also
bring low clouds into the area, at least for the morning hours,
though clouds should erode during the afternoon. Given the strong
southerly flow, transport winds will be in the 25 to 30 mph and
mixing heights will rise above 3000 feet. This will create good
dispersion conditions by the afternoon. Additionally, isolated
thunderstorms will be possible, though the coverage and confidence
on exact timing and location is low.

Similar conditions are expected on Saturday, with strong
southerly flow continuing and the chance for isolated afternoon
thunderstorms. By Sunday, an upper level disturbance will approach
the area, bringing the next chance for widespread wetting rains.
Timing is still uncertain, though the best chance will be late
Sunday afternoon and into the overnight hours. Areal rainfall
amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts
possible. This activity should push east of the region on Monday
morning, with dry conditions returning for Monday afternoon and
Tuesday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog may develop early
Friday morning, but confidence is low.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None.
