FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
241 PM CDT WED OCT 1 2014

.DISCUSSION...
GULF MOISTURE WILL BEGIN TO INCREASE ACROSS THE AREA LATE TONIGHT
INTO THU...AS AN UPPER DISTURBANCE OUT OF THE MIDDLE PLAINS
APPROACHES THE REGION. A FEW SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ON
THU IN RESPONSE TO THIS UPPER WAVE. A VIGOROUS COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED
WITH A STRONGER UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM WILL THEN MOVE EASTWARD
ACROSS THE AREA LATE THU NIGHT INTO FRI...WITH SHOWERS AND STORMS
INCREASING IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY. RAINFALL WILL BEGIN TO TAPER
OFF FROM THE WEST FRI AFTERNOON AS THE FRONT EXITS THE AREA TO THE
EAST. NOTICEABLY COOLER AND DRIER AIR WILL THEN STREAM INTO THE
REGION FROM THE NORTHWEST...AS A STRONG DOME OF HIGH PRESSURE OUT OF
THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST BUILDS INTO THE SOUTHEAST STATES.
