Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
304 PM CDT Tue Jun 27 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Surface high pressure centered to the northeast of the TN Valley
will slowly drift eastward from tonight through Thursday. Southerly
winds will strengthen across northern AL as this occurs...resulting
in warmer and more humid conditions, with afternoon RH values in the
35-45% range tomorrow increasing into the 55-65% range by Thursday.
Beginning Thursday, a scattered coverage of showers and thunderstorms
is expected both during the day and at night...with storms becoming
most numerous on Friday night and Saturday. Mixing heights in the 6500-
7000 ft range will support good to generally good smoke dispersion
tomorrow...with an increase in clouds and lower mixing heights
resulting in lower dispersion indices on Thursday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Light/variable winds and mostly
clear skies may lead to development of patchy fog late tonight and
early Wednesday morning. Increasing cloud cover will reduce the threat
for fog on Thursday morning.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
