FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
230 AM CDT SUN MAY 29 2016

.DISCUSSION...
A WEAK DRY COLD FRONT IS FORECAST TO MOVE THROUGH THE REGION LATE
THIS MORNING THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON SHIFTING WINDS TO THE NORTHWEST.
AN ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM MAY DEVELOP ALONG THE FRONT BUT WOULD BE SHORT
IN DURATION. HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE MIDWEST MONDAY AND TUESDAY
AND SHOULD HELP TO PREVENT ANY CONVECTION FROM DEVELOPING ON THESE
DAYS. THUS, DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK.
WARM/HOT TEMPERATURES TODAY AND MONDAY WILL LEAD TO HIGH MIXING HEIGHTS
AND GOOD DISPERSION VALUES.

RAIN AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES INCREASE BY THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK AS A
COLD FRONT NEARS THE AREA.
