FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
143 PM CST WED NOV 26 2014

.DISCUSSION...
A FAST MOVING UPPER AIR DISTURBANCE AND LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM
WILL TRACK SOUTHEAST THROUGH KENTUCKY AND TENNESSEE THIS
EVENING DRAGGING A COLD FRONT THROUGH THE AREA LATE TONIGHT.
MILDER AIR AND SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL BE REPLACED BY COLD
NORTHWEST FLOW LATE TONIGHT. LIGHT RAIN MAY EXTEND AS FAR
SOUTH AS FAR NORTHEAST ALABAMA THIS EVENING, POSSIBLY
CHANGING TO A BRIEF PERIOD OF LIGHT SNOW OR FLURRIES AFTER
MIDNIGHT. THIS IS MOST LIKELY TO TAKE PLACE ALONG THE
CUMBERLAND PLATEAU IN TENNESSEE. NO SNOW ACCUMULATION IS
EXPECTED IN NORTH ALABAMA. GOOD TO VERY GOOD SMOKE DISPERSION
IX EXPECTED ON THURSDAY. AS HIGH PRESSURE AND LIGHT FLOW
OVERSPREAD THE SOUTHEAST U.S. ON FRIDAY, DISPERSION WILL
BECOME GENERALLY POOR TO FAIR ALONG WITH SHALLOWER MIXING
DEPTHS. A SIGNIFICANT WARMING TREND WILL THEN TAKE PLACE
OVER THE WEEKEND AS SOUTHWEST FLOW DEVELOPS ACROSS THE REGION.
