Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
247 PM CDT Fri Aug 18 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Dry conditions will prevail across the TN Valley through the weekend,
as high pressure settles in over the region. Winds will generally
be light and from the west northwest and then begin to shift to
the south on Monday. Mixing heights will rise above 6000 feet each
afternoon. Transport winds will be around 9 mph on Saturday and
create good dispersion conditions. By Sunday, transport winds will
drop below 5 mph, and therefore dispersion conditions will be
generally poor. Rain chances will return to the forecast area early
next week, as moisture begins to filter into the region.

Fog potential over the next few days: None at this time.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
