Critical fire weather conditions will continue areawide below snowpack today and Tuesday, then mainly along and east of the central mountain chain on Wednesday when elevated and near critical conditions are forecast farther west. Wind gusts up to 65 mph will be possible in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and around Clines Corners this morning, then up to 60 mph in the Sangres again tonight. The driest day of the week will be Tuesday, when most lower elevation locations east of the continental divide can expect single digit humidities for 5 to 10 hours. Weaker winds and higher humidities are forecast for the latter half of the week with increasing thunderstorm chances.
