.DISCUSSION...
Light northerly to northeasterly winds this morning will shift out
of the south by late morning to near noon. Southerly winds will
be breezy gusting 15 to 20 mph this afternoon, at times trying to
turn southwesterly to westerly in the late afternoon. Combined
with humidity in the single-digits, elevated to short-lived
critical fire weather conditions will be present this afternoon.
These conditions amplify Monday with strong southwesterly wind
gusts peaking to 40 to 50 mph and more single-digit humidity. A
Red Flag Warning is in effect for the burn location Monday as a
result. These winds turn northwesterly Monday night into Tuesday
morning. Another round of critical fire weather is possible in
this area Tuesday afternoon before northwesterly winds finally
taper off late Tuesday.
