.DISCUSSION...
Low humidity values and strong winds are forecast for
Saturday morning and afternoon along the lee slopes of
the Alaska Range. Chinook winds, gusting to as high as
30 to 50 mph will combine with humidity values near 20
percent to produce Red Flag Conditions near Delta Junction
and Fort Greeley. Winds look to subside by late afternoon
into Saturday evening. Beyond Saturday, periods of showers
are expected across the region. An isolated thunderstorm
in our far southeast area could be possible by late next
week, however, confidence in this occuring is low.
