...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN CRAWFORD COUNTY
IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for central, north
central, northwestern and west central Iowa.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM CDT
FOR GREENE...WESTERN WEBSTER...POCAHONTAS...EASTERN SAC...CALHOUN...
WESTERN HUMBOLDT AND EASTERN CARROLL COUNTIES...

At 1037 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Varina to Lake City to 4 miles southwest of Scranton,
moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Jefferson, Sac City, Pocahontas, Rockwell City, Lake City, Manson,
Coon Rapids, Laurens, Glidden, Gowrie, North Twin Lake, South Twin
Lake, Grand Junction, Pomeroy, Fonda, Rolfe, Scranton, Gilmore City,
Churdan, and Callender.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM CDT for central, north
central, northwestern and west central Iowa.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
