...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 9 PM MDT SATURDAY...

.DISCUSSION...
Near-critical conditions today with Min RH 10-15% and southwest
winds 15 to 25 mph. Desert lowlands may reach Red Flag status
temporarily this afternoon. Stronger winds again on Saturday with
additional Red Flags for lowland portions of south-central New
Mexico and far west Texas. Peak gusts of 40 mph Saturday afternoon
with areas of blowing dust. Winds diminish Sunday into early next
week as dry weather continues and temperatures warm. Smoke
ventilation will be Excellent through next week with transport to
the northeast each afternoon.
