This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Saturday night into Sunday morning, chances for thunderstorms
return to the forecast, mainly for areas south of Interstate 80
into north central Kansas. Severe weather is not expected at this
time.

During the day on Sunday, there will be the potential for
southeasterly winds gusting near 40-45 MPH, mainly for portions
of south central Nebraska and north central Kansas along and east
of Highway 281.

Sunday afternoon and evening, additional chances for
thunderstorms are expected to spread across the outlook area.
There will be the potential for some storms to be strong to
severe, mainly south of Interstate 80 and into north central
Kansas. Hail near the size of half dollars and wind gusts near 60
MPH look to be the primary hazards.

Sunday night into Monday, colder air building into the region
will bring a switch from rain to snow for portions of the outlook
area. The best chance for snow accumulations of at least one inch
look to be focused across areas northwest of the Nebraska Tri-
Cities. In addition to potential snow, there will be the
potential for wind gusts over 50 MPH, mainly across areas west of
Highway 281. These winds combined with any falling snow could
result in hazardous conditions, so be sure to stay up to date with
the latest forecast in the coming days.

Finally, wind chill values will fall below zero across much of the
local area Tuesday morning with readings as low as 10 degrees
below zero possible in spots mainly north of I-80.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
