High pressure northeast of the state will drift east as a front approaches the islands from the northwest. The front will weaken into a trough over the islands Friday. An upper low will move across the islands late Friday through Saturday, triggering heavy showers and potential thunderstorms. $$ Hawaiian waters within 40 nautical miles including the channels- .REST OF TODAY...East winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 4 to 5 feet. Wave Detail: East 4 feet at 7 seconds. Isolated showers. .TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY...East winds 10 to 15 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. Wave Detail: East 4 feet at 7 seconds and south southwest building to 3 feet at 18 seconds. Scattered showers. .THURSDAY NIGHT...Northeast to east winds up to 10 knots Kauai waters. Elsewhere, east to southeast winds 5 to 15 knots. Wave Detail: East 3 feet at 7 seconds and south southwest 3 feet at 16 seconds.
