...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN MADISON...NORTHERN
LIMESTONE...MOORE...LINCOLN AND NORTHWESTERN FRANKLIN COUNTIES
THROUGH 530 PM CDT...

At 449 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 9 miles southeast of Columbia to 10 miles
southwest of Petersburg to 8 miles northwest of Athens. Movement was
east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fayetteville, Lynchburg, Hazel Green, Ardmore, Petersburg, Tims Ford
Lake, Lincoln, Elkmont, Cartwright, and Elkwood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for
north central Alabama...and Middle Tennessee.
