REGION...WITH OVERALL NEAR TO ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION. BELOW
ARE A SAMPLING OF DECEMBER CLIMATE HIGHLIGHTS FOR WICHITA...SALINA
AND CHANUTE.

WICHITA:
THE AVERAGE MONTHLY TEMPERATURE (AVERAGE OF EACH DAILY HIGH AND
LOW) WAS 38.2 DEGREES...4.4 DEGREES WARMER THAN NORMAL...AND TIED
FOR THE 21ST WARMEST DECEMBER SINCE 1888. RECORD WARM LOW
TEMPERATURES OF 46...49 AND 51 DEGREES WERE SET ON THE 12TH...13TH
AND 14TH...RESPECTIVELY. PRECIPITATION ACCUMULATED 1.29
INCHES...WHICH WAS 0.09 INCHES WETTER THAN NORMAL. SNOW
ACCUMULATED 4.2 INCHES...WHICH WAS RIGHT AT NORMAL. THE GREATEST
